ok so i'm planning out a series. so far i have the first 3 chapters planned out of the first book. i started it like over a month ago. for 3 weeks already, i haven't touched it at all. or at least i open the document on MS Word, and i just can't seem to figure wat will happen next.

i tried going to the park on nice days, but i'd end up just watching other ppl so that can't be my muse. sometimes i do get inspired from my dreams (thats wat inspired me for this book and soon i decided i wanted it to be a series).

but now my dreams have nothing to do with wat i'm writing about.

so all i wanna kno is wats ur muse and other sources of inspiration?

this will really help me out. please help?

Try not thinking of it as a series. Try thinking of it as a single book with an ending. Very often, the problem is that you are thinking too far ahead. It isn't a series. It is a book. It has a beginning, middle and ending. You may use the same characters in the next book, but this is still a complete book. Too many writers get themselves in trouble "planning ahead". And from the publisher's standpoint, they don't want to hear that it is a series. They want to buy a book from you. A BOOK. If that book sells well, they will talk series, but no publisher is going to buy a series from a new young author. If the first book tanks, they are stuck with the rest. So change your thinking a little. Focus on the book - not the series. Don't think past that until you have finished one. When I finished the first book in my series, I had NO clue it was a series, but the lead character was just so great, he lent himself to another book and then another. Just take one book at a time. That should help a lot. Pax- C

I love, love, love writing by the water. Go to any waterside place (make it private so you won't get distracted).
Also, my muses now are in Mythology and how they are described. I also love any classical music.
