Was anyone else or is it just me. Personally I thought the ending was crap. A pathetic and lazy ending to a battle which has been anticipated for 10 years!!! Voldemort's wand kills him. God, how stupid!!

Mark, carefully lie on the hospital bed knowing that I am at his side writing his "Journal of Life"(as he called it).
He has had a series of operations (this being the last) with the hopes of curing his fatal disease. None of them panned out; and now, fully aware of his foreboding death, wanted to share himself by immortalizing some of his passing words.
Again his tearing eyes opened as he started to whisper... "In our travels through life, we must retain our loyalty and trust with the people that we know and love... for it is all that we have to cherish on the voyage to each of our own destinies. "
Mark faded off again at the final stoke of my pen.

So many perspectives, at so many different times. The finished product should be (say the least) quite profound. Once again Mark stirred,
but this time he did not wake up;
instead rolled to his side
with a slight smile on his face.

How many times have you read the Dark Tower series by Stephen King? I have only read the first book. Is the whole series as good and does it form a cohesive unit?

Of course I personally can't even fathom getting military plans, but the characters (villains) in my story do. What do you think could happen?

I'd rather not get into a long series, so a collection of 3 or less books would be ideal. I've read Lord of the Rings, and the Death Gate novels, and some of Robert Jordan, among other things... I just really want to read something new. :)

I am flying next month and need some good books to read. I am very much into romantic suspense books. I do like Nora Roberts and another book I read was The Perfect Husband. I have found a few online that I think I might be interested in but I like to hear recommendations from other people more. If anyone can let me know what they liked I would appreciate it.

there's this part in the PRINCE'S TALE chapter.

dumbledore and snape were having this conversation and it came to a point where dumbledore asks snape about "harry growing in snape's heart".. then snape casts this patronus: a doe. then he says.. FOR HIM? then he says afterwards: always.

WHAT DID THAT MEAN? did snape really love harry or he just did those things because of his love, lily?

Hermione and Ron got married eventually... but they named their kids Rose and Hugo. I understand that they are both the first letters of their parents names, but is there a meaning behind theyre names? or are they random? cuz you'd think that theyd be at least named for somebody!

There are two great stories I would like to read again, but I don't even know where to look. I read them in high school in sci-fi anthology books; I don't remember titles or authors. The first was about a boy who discovers he can't be taught to read instantly (as is normal in this society). He considers himself a failure who must go to a special school, until he discovers that his aptitude is so great that he has been pulled out of the system to be one of the designers of the system - he has to learn to read the old-fashioned way, because the process of learning (which has been superceeded by hi tech "instant-ability" methods) is a privilege reserved for the elite few. The second story is about a man who finds himself suddenly with a nameless voice in his head. This voice accompanies him to get his haircut, to his girlfriend's apartment. It "reveals" the world to him to such a depth that he discovers he IS the voice, lost in his own head, back at the beginning of the story. Any ideas?
