Can anyone give me a list of ways to start a sentence to answer the question "Why did the author choose to include..." without starting off the answer by writing "The author chose to include this by..."?

For example,
Q. Why did the author choose to include suspense in the novel?
A. SOMETHING BESIDES "The author chose to include..."

You dont have to answer my example question!

My personal issue is the poor editing and lack of original metaphor and symbolism. Another issue is the mediocrity of the storyline.

When Harry discovers The Mirror of the Erised there are words around it that say, "erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi." I thought about it and read it backwards and got, "ishow no tyo urfac ebu tyo urhe arts desire". Then I changed the spaces and got "I show not your face but your hearts desire." Please tell me that someone else has figured this out as well!!!

I feel that it isn't very fare to some of the fans that haven't had a chance 2 read the new book yet,( that some people find it funny to tell us what has happened in the book). My son was really looking forward to reading it only to be told by his friends what has happened. We all want to know what , but isn't it a bit selfish of others to tell you what has happened. who agree's

I just read Harry Potter 7 – The Deathly Hallows (stop reading this question if you haven’t finished the book), and I can’t help but be confused by the ending. Here are my questions:

1) Why exactly was Harry the rightful owner of the Elder wand and why didn’t Voltemorte’s spells cause any damage to Harry?

2) While Harry was looking into the Pensieve, he saw Snape having a conversation with Dumbledore in which Dumbledore stated that Harry and Voltemorte would have to kill each other in order to end Voltemorte’s existence. Apparently, a piece of Voltemort’s soul had entered Harry after he was killed, so the only way to finish him was to make sure that Harry died too. However, Harry lives at the end of the book. Was Dumbledore simply incorrect about Harry needing to die?

3) When Harry is knocked out with the killing curse, he goes into a dream like state. He has a conversation with Dumbledore, and there is a crying baby in the dream. What was this crying baby?

From what I hear, JK Rowling ties up all the loose ends and asks all the questions that were (so far) unanswered to the readers. I have it on hold at the library, and I want some insight on what to expect. WITHOUT giving any spoilers please.

Could there be a loophole in a god/goddess' supposed 'immortality?' 10 points for the most creative, yet somewhat 'realistic' procedure to kill a god/goddess. References to any mythology, story, character, etc. is acceptable.

Let your imagination run free. Anything can happen.

I've seen all the films and have read No 5 and 6 & I've just started The Philospher's Stone which seems much more "babyish" and aimed primarily for kids (as she originally intended) compared to the later books.

If my 10yo picked up one of her later books I know he'd put it down because he just wouldn't understand it. There was a definite increase in difficulty and I just wondered do you think it was intentional on her part as her readers "grew up with HP" and thus her language changed?

all he does is 'expelliarmus', patronuses and other immature spells he learnt in his first few years. He uses some new ones in the final book but in his previous encounters with voldy he is very weak with a wand. He's over rated. Hermione is the talented one but yet no one goes on and on about her do they?

If you were beginning a novel (fiction) that you wanted the world to remember as your greatest life work what would be the first line.

I am not looking for help on my own story I am just curious how creative we can get.

Also, if you have a favorite opening line form a published book let me know what it is…
