I remember in book 6 (or was that 5? i'm not sure..), when Dudley was attacked by dementors and Vernon wanted to drive Harry out of the house, Dumbledore sent a warning to Petunia..it just said "remember my last"...there was no explanation for it, though...even in book 7...
i wonder why.......
and yeah, I'm still wondering what happened to the Dursleys ;)

Rowling had said at one time that someone who hadn't demonstrated any magical abilities before would do so. Now before I'd heard that I'd been thinking that either Petunia or Dudley would be rather intresting to see developing in such a way. And I tended to lean more towards Petunia, to be honest. However, Rowling recently said that she completely scrapped that idea. So maybe she'd originally planned to have Petunia develop magical powers and then decided against it.

Just that there is more to Aunt Petunia than meets the eye. We learn that she asked the Headmaster to get in, and all up until then(in the previous 6 books) she has loathed magic, supposedly.

And she ALMOST (almost) had a moment where she wished Harry luck.
