Yes, I loved all three movies though I'm still reading the book, I'm 13 and I think LOTR is awesome!

Indeed! Tolkien is probably my favorite author actually, not only because of Lord of the Rings, but also for his shorter works like Farmer Giles of Ham, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, Leaf by Niggle, Smith of Wootton Major, melancholy poems like "The Sea Bell," and his tales of the history of Middle Earth. I also loved his explanation of the kernel of fairy stories in his essay "On Faerie Stories." Lord of the Rings was a lifetime's work, along with the world-building of Arda and Middle Earth. It has such depth and richness because it was his life's work, and it really shows through. LOTR is a story to inform many real-life situations if one sees through to the themes and the source of inspiration. While I am not a Catholic Christian as Tolkien was, I have to respect his interpretations of some themes he admits were "Catholic in the revision" of Lord of the Rings.

So, yes, I'm interested in Lord of the Rings! Thanks for asking!

Yes. I have been a fan since I was 10, 22 years ago. I read all the books several times. I use to go back and re-read them about once a year, but have fallen behind on that.

absolutely. I have read the Hobbitt and the Lord of the Rings three times since I was a young teen. I find something new about the characters each time I read it. Its probably my favorite story of all time.

The books got me thru college. Actually got excited when I heard they were making a live action film. Didn't care for the animated version of the Hobbit by Ralph Bakshi.

Of course. Notice that The Hobbit appears at the top of my list here:

Included is a list of only the best sorcery fantasy books, grade reading level, and a short review of each book.

I hope this helps.

Yes - I am.

I read the book nearly 30 years ago and loved it and I was very impressed with how the films capture the magic.
