I have a buddy who is leaving for BCT for the Army and he and I were talking about this...Is it weird for a guy to write to another guy during Basic? He wants to keep in touch with his friends, girls and guys, while he's away but he's worried about the guys there giving him a hard time about it. I thought maybe somebody who has gone through Basic would have an answer to this.

Why do people hang dead deer from their trees and garage rafters and such. I find the image disturbing in that can't-look-but-have-to way ... but I assume there must be a reason aside from some primitive need to show one's hunter/gather prowess. Very curious ... since I am living in Michigan and see A LOT of this.

Have you ever felt like this?
I feel like until now, I've been living in sin. I was never exactly a horrible person but the little things I did that I thought were harmless, were acts of the devil. I believed in God, and prayed so I thought that justified everything I did when really, the devil was winning all along. Evil- kept with me with an ex of mine who was no good for me or my son, (which I knew but stayed & made excuses) it kept me having sex before marriage, portraying negative energy when I could have been more positive etc.

I've always believed in God but now, I see the world so much more clearer...I no longer judge those who I feel are living in sin because in order for a change, they need prayer, not judgment (unless its from God)… I’m more easily able to decipher right and wrong in God’s eyes….and I want to try harder to live by that.

How did you deal with it when they were speaking to you about the 'abuse' that you knew wasn't real?

Did the judge believe the abuse allegations & rule in her favor?

Did the lying continue throughout the child's life (if it was a custody case)? How do you think it affected the child?

It is known that Christmas was originally a pagan holiday, and was later changed to honor Christ. One of the popes did this to make it easier for the pagans to convert. I won't celebrate Halloween because of it's pagan background, but I will celebrate Christmas because Christmas has changed and now honors God, while Halloween on the other hand is still about witchcraft and death (you may disagree, but that's nopt what this question is about.)

So anyways, what is so wrong about changing something bad and making it for the glory of God. Paul said that it was okay to eat meat that pagans sold in the market that they had sacrificed to their gods, if you were giving thanks to God for the meat and were not observing as a sacrifice to pagan gods. If you don't celebrate Christmas do you also believe that wedding rings are wrong because they are also of pagan tradition? will you not be burried in a casket because that's a pagan tradition?

this seems like a simple question...most people would answer "by newton's third law"...however, consider this:
an object is traveling at a velocity of 5m/s at a solid brick wall. The acceleration of the ball is 0 and thus, the ball is moving w/ a force of 0 N (F = ma = 0m = 0). obviously, the ball will bounce back off of the brick wall, but this cannot be caused by newtons third law can it??--there is no action force to cause a reaction force in the opposite direction...when the ball collides into the wall, there is no force pushing it, so how can there be a force pushing the ball backwards?

MY BOYFRIEND'S EX GOT PREGNANT WITH ANOTHER MANS BABY AND LEAD HIM TO BELIEVE IT WAS HIS UNTIL SHE WAS 8 MONTHS OLD..... HE AGREED TO ACCEPT AND RAISE HER AS HIS BECAUSE HE WAS ALREADY IN LOVE W/ THE CHILD.... THEY HAVE SPLIT CUSTODY OF HER. ALLL THE MONEY THAT THE EX SPENDS ON THE CHILD HE PAYS HALF.... SHE MAKES SURE HER DAUGHTER HAS THE BEST OF EVERYTHING. WHEN QUESTIONED WHY SOMETHING COST SO MUCH SHE THREATENS TO MAKE HIM PAY CHILD SUPPORT... THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO PAY ALOT MORE THEN. MY QUESTION IS ( IS THAT POSSIBLE?) IF YOU HAVE SPLIT CUSTODY DON'T YOU SPLIT EVERYTHING? WHAT WOULD THE LAW BE ON THIS MATTER???? HE IS SCARED TO STAND UP TO HER THINKING THAT SHE WILL PUT ANOTHER BILL ON HIM... HE SUPPLIES INSURANCE AND ALL......
