Your acceptability is dependent upon whether or not you meet the criteria that is set forth by the Marines and you will need to ask your recruiter this question and he will know if you meet the standards or not .

If you have retained hardware in your body after the surgery, the answer is no. If the surgery had significantly reduced the range of motion in your shoulder, the answer is no. If the surgery has left you with pain or other symptoms, the answer is no.

They will accept you as long as the surgery goes well and you can do everything they require, such as pullups, rope climb etc.
