He looks black, but I haven't heard this confirmed anywhere. I know he is from Minnesota. I heard him interviewed on the radio, and he does kind of sound black. I was just curious.

Why is it that whenever you ask what race someone is, some fool comes up with "does it matter"? No. I never said it mattered. It doesn't. I was just curious. That's all.

I was wondering the same thing, and I agree, it doesn't matter, but it is interesting. There are very few black hockey players, just as there are very few white basketball players, running backs, and sprinters. So when there is a black hockey player, it is interesting.

With that out of the way, you should be aware that If you go to NHL.com and click on "players" in the bar under all the team logos, you will come up with a searchable list of all players currently in the league as well as some past players and the team they are on, along with their position played, date of birth, and hometown. According to the site, Dustin Byfuglien is an American, born in Minneapolis Minnesota.
