I have endured and heard that when children have been abused or tramutized. they lose touch with reality for brief or long periods of time. The psyches way of protecting your conscious or the self.. they say some cocoon themselves in a fantasy and imaginitive worlds as a coping method. Is there a name for it? has psychology validated it, behaviors, dynamics and fundamentals, what I do goes beyond "coping method" which undermines how complex it is. I go in these pathological day-dream trance and fantasy interactions and engage into imaginative/mainstream concsious of playing life. I pathologically feel who I am , as that person, I cry, I get angry, I feel that worldy moment. I forget sometimes that someone is there in the same room watching tv with me. I drift off into a dream state and start living a story introvertly, My body language/ words/ mannerism show with it . I can't turn it off. thats not normal can years of it harm you. My thearipist cant give it a validated form

Let's face it, not everything we teach our kids is correct (at least if we're honest). So doesn't the Santa Claus myth provide a fulcrum for children at the appropriate age to disengage themselves from the ideas and mores of their parents and society and question what they've been taught? Wouldn't that be a good thing?

If so, how does it break? What I'm going through (for the past several years) I think has been more than a testing of the faith. I need relief!

I am already in my 20s, and so is he. I stay in the relationship because he has a weak personality. He still lives with his parents, he has no stable job because he often quits, he is a drunkard, I often fetch him from his friends' houses or from bars everytime he's wasted, I often pay for the bills because he says he's broke--but he says he loves me. I think it's unfair for me to stay with him. He seems so helpless and he has a gentlle manner. We've always been faithful to each other. I am not seeing other men. I prefer that this question be answered by those who are already in their 30s and onwards.

there is this boy who i don't like at all. he used to be friends until he started annoying me. He is not really annoying is just that i want my space and i do not want to talk to him anymore. I try avoiding him and he finds me. I purposely don't tell him where I am going. I know it's normal in a friendship to want to be around someone but i don't. I don't like him walking me to class. Sometimes i like walking to class alone. I know i am annoying person myself because i nag. I have tried being blunt to him and i have ignored him. I just don't like him for no reason. what should i do? I don't hate him. i'll still want to do nice things for him but i just want him to leave. Not to leave completely but stop always being there.

I know it doesn't make any sense. I love the man I'm with very much right now and I get constant daydreams and fleeting thoughts of being swollen and pregnant and getting pampered by him. Then I take care of the baby even when its crying its eyes out till the wee hours of the morning.
At the same time I would like to finish school (2 more years) at a 4 year college if possible. If not, I could live with that. My man and are are going to be married sometime next year and I keep telling him my desires and he told me he might end up "knocking me up". I think we're both still young (he's 25 I'm 22 in April) and maybe its just the "biological clock". We've known each other for two years.
Is this normal, should I consider planning for a family or keep my legs closed and get my degree? I've lost interest in getting a degree since it'll be in "Fine Arts" and anyone can get that.
