well there is 32 ounces in a quart and 4 quarts in gallon so that means there are 128 ounces in a gallon (4 X 32 = 128)
64 cents a gallon divided by 128 is 1/2 cent per ounce.

20 ounces at $4.00 equals 20 cents per ounce
