I would stick to truth and would not lie provided there were no compelling reasons to defend the innocent and protect the weak.

I could not say that I have never lied. I used to abuse alcohol and drugs, and I was not an honest person during that time.
However, if you're asking if it's possible to live a life without lying, then answer is "yes."
Not everyone can say that, because almost everyone is more dependent on acceptance and too concerned for the sensitivities of others to simply be honest and let the cards fall where they may, but I do not ascribe to such mentalities. Lies in the past have cost me dearly. If I lose anything in life now, it will be to the truth.

YES. For you , you have never lied, will ever lie etc. Then again for other, you may be lying with every sentence that comes out of your mouth.
Why?
When you have been fed a different belief system all your life, you believe them to be all to be your truths-- ergo, YES. It will appear that you are lying to others because what you will say is different from their truths.
Yet you will swear that all you said was the truth, the whole truth so help you god.

Yes it would be possible to live a live without telling a lie if you lived in a perfect world but since we don't I think certain white lies such as telling you best friend that her shoes are great when you really think not is a way to preserve a certain peace and friendships.

LYING IS NOT A SIN UNTIL AND UNLESS U LIE FOR ANYTHING GOOD. IT IS A PART OF LIFE. IT IS REALLY NOT POSSIBLE TO LIVE WITHOUT TELLING A LIE. IF U TELL A LIE FOR SOMETHING GOOD THEN IT IS AS PURE AS TRUTH.

I don't think it's possible. Especially if some people don't want to hear the truth. But only want to hear what they believe is the truth.
