I live in the northeast soon coming to houston. Now do you in Houston rake leaves in the fall, or do the leaves never fall because of the location in the south??? ( I do know its has snowed a little before but I also heard - it snowed in the morning by noon its all gone.

My Dad has always wanted to visit the US and has dreamed of swimming with dolphins. A few months ago,he was diagnosed with cancer and now I find myself living all those cliches - not putting things off any longer, living for now etc etc. I would like to take him to Florida in 2007 - from the 2nd quarter onwards. We would be a party of 4 and would be travelling from the UK for about a 7-10 day stay.
Please would the experts out there let me have any inside tips on how to do this most cost effectively. I don't have oodles of money, but really want to make this a memorable trip for my dad. Thanks in advance.

On the morning of Monday, Dec 11, I will be in Chula Vista and will need to make it to Chinatown Los Angeles and back. I'm not familiar with the timing of rush hour traffic as I don't live near. It seems like rush hour lasts 20 hours a day. Thought of leaving at 6 or 7am (flexible). Need an hour or two at destination. I need to make it back to Chula Vista by 3pm. I always wanted to go to New Orleans, and when Katrina hit, I felt so bad for the culture, and the city itself. This is odd because I have no family there, no friends there. It's a random city but I've always wanted to go there. I love the culture it gives off.. the southern lifestyle.. the nickname "the big easy" maybe it's because I'm from New York and everything's so fast paced here. ANyway what's it like ..im asking all those lucky souls. Im not asking hows life like after Katrina, but how's the nature of the city.. you live there.. are you happy?

I went on the CTA's website to find the price for weekly passes. they offer vistor's passes for 1,2,3,5 and 7 days. It says the pass is onlt $5 each. Does anyone know how much a 5 or 7 day pass is? I doubt it would cost the same for unlimited rides for one day verses 7...
