Practically impossible by mass transit. If it can even be done it has to be hours worth of riding the bus, probably more than 3 hours.

Driving, what I would do if I were you is this:
- Take Rt 36 to the GS Parkway North
- Exit at exit 11 to get on the NJ Turnpike North
- Take the Turnpike to the end and stay on the extension towards the GW Bridge; as you approach Fort Lee, stay in the RIGHT lane
- The last exit before the Bridge will say "Fort Lee", and it may say "Palisades Parkway" - exit at this exit, and follow signs to put you on the Palisades Parkway North.
- Take the Palisades Parkway to Exit 4
- Exit 4 puts you on Rt 9W - go NORTH on 9W
- Make your first left onto Oak Tree Rd.
- Make the next left onto Closter Dock Rd.
- Closter Dock Rd becomes Rockleigh Rd in Rockleigh and will take you to the center of Rockleigh

Good luck, the drive should be about an hour and fifteen to thirty minutes with no traffic delays.

On NJ Transit Train you can go

Depart: MIDDLETOWN NJ Towards NEW YORK PENN STA.
Arrive: SECAUCUS JUNCTION UPPER LEVEL
Transfer
Depart: SECAUCUS JUNCTION LOWER LEVEL On SPRING VALLEY
Arrive: EMERSON

Total $10.50

Takes about 1:30, depending on how long you have to wait at the Secaucus Junction
