Weather in Florida in December is unpredictable. Last week it was in the upper 80's, today it's in the 60's. Plan for both.

Disney has a variety of tickets... go to the Disney website and take a look. If you are planning on spending a few days at Disney, then get a multi-day, park hoppers pass. This way you can see multiple parks. Do some planning before you come. Depending on the ages in your party, you may wish to spend less time at the Magic Kingdom and more time at EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, etc. or if the weather is nice, go to one of the water parks.

While in the Orlando area, also check out Universal Studios, Sea World or to get away from the theme parks, how about Cape Canaveral (where the shuttles launch), air boat rides on the St. Johns River, or Gatorland (OK, really tacky, but fun).

We have not been there in December but have heard from friends that have that it was cold and wet.

Still, they did have a good time. To get the best deals I suggest you do the following:

Contact Disney direct either on line and contact one of their customer reps. Get the best price you can then go to Yahoo travel and compare prices. I wouldn't go with private parties attempting to sell tickets, some are time sensitive or scams.

Check out Universal Studios while your there, 2 days there and you will see and do everything. If you were staying there 3 days is best.

We left New England to go to Disney at that time. It was miseable, It rained a lot and the temp was in the 60's....Figure around 600- 800 dollars for family of 4 to get in.

Skip Disney altogrther, go to Universal, it was much better,,,
