Are there any good universities in downtown chicago by the nice towers?

Lonely Sunday in New York City?

I've just moved here (last week) and am waiting for some friends to join me in ny next weekend. I am alone and really want to do something interesting/entertaining this afternoon (Sunday) I have already walked my feet off around the shops - so shopping is out. What can I do/where can I go alone today to spend my time constructively? (Museums and galleries I want to save for when my friends arrive.)
