i want to do fun things like amusement, just anything interesting really.

I disagree with some of the comments that others have made. Activities which center around the casinos (gambling, dining, clubbing, shopping) are obvious. But there are a lot of other things to do in Vegas.
You can go to see the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Most of the land surrounding Las Vegas is Bureau of Land Management -- so you can go horseback riding around Red Rock Canyon. It is close enough to the Grand Canyon, so you can go on a plane or helicopter ride to see it. There are some museums -- both municipal and casino based.

Get real ! Lol. Native Las Vegans live a highly boring life like everybody else livign in any other state. There is school, the constant heat, lousy commutes due to traffic, great shopping, and proximity to SanFran, LA. and Arizona.
Learn a sport, that is always fun.
Go to work, where you are there are plenty of work opportunities.
As for amusement, all the amusement that money can buy is in your own town.

Sorry, there's nothing to do in Las Vegas besides that. You can go waste your time at the mall, or go to the movies, but that's it. It's a pretty crappy place when you want to do stuff that isn't going to work or school.
You can always check out CityLife or Las Vegas Weekly. Usually they have calendars about events.

Theres basically the malls, the strip, the movies and the lake [ which is pretty disgusting if you ask me ]
