is it true that in the USA you have free internet?and do you pay for incoming as well as outgoing calls?

is anyone else here loving this weather? i mean 60degrees this morning?? i thought i was dreaming lol. i feels wonderful doesnt it? and i hear its going to last for a little while.

Why do all Americans refer to cities with their countries as well? Like "Paris France" or "Tokyo Japan". Why not just say "Paris" or "Tokyo"
The same for american cities like "Miami Florida" or "Dallas Texas".
Its weird cos everywhere else people just say the city because they know where it is, for example they know Moscow is in Russia , so just say Moscow. Full stop.
Just a bit odd!

There was a study done that said Europeans showed people of different nationalities liked each other MORE after getting to know each other, except in the case of the British -- who became less popular. So that got me thinking because I figured ppl would like the French less. What European nationality do you like more?

I am flying from Ga and I really want to go and see times square, manhattan, walstreet...all the tourist stuff. Where is better to fly into? JFK? Laguardia, or newark? What is the best way to get into the city from the airport? Any good places to stay that is outside of the downtown area that is cheap..er! Thanks ahead of time!

I'm going to be there for a couple days near the Botanic Garden. What is there to do nearby in terms of Pubs, Movies, and general entertainment.

I'm thinking of taking a short trip (a week or less) to South Korea early this winter. Would like to take in a couple of main cities (probably Busan, Seoul) and some countryside, with a culture/food/nature focus.

Mainly, I would like to know how safe it is there for a western woman travelling alone. Any tips in this situation (for what kind of accomodation to choose, modes of transport, places to go/avoid etc).

I've been living in Japan for almost 2 years, and travelled alone here. Feel pretty comfortable here, but understand Korea could be very different.

Also, any general tips on Korea? All ideas/tips will be gratefully received.

I do. I dread the possibility of sitting on a plane when it crashes and I've got a few moments to realise that I'm going to die a hideous death. Would it be a good idea to pay a few quid extra and be totally sedated for the whole trip so that if it crashes you'll know nothing about it?
