Bulgaria, Greece and Serbia declare war on Ottoman Turkey.

The First Balkan War began on October 8, 1912 when Montenegro declared war on Ottoman Turkey. Ten days later, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Greece, the other members of the Balkan League, then followed Montenegro in declaring war against Turkey. The First Balkan War was fought to decide the fate of Macedonia, which was then part of the Ottoman Empire, Turkey in Europe.

That is almost 100 years ago, can we just let it be history, and move on to the real issues, facing the world today.

Planning on flying into Delhi, working my way round the country then flying out of delhi again and on to Vietnam or Bejjing.
My question is ; is it safe to backpack round India, are parts safer than otehrs, what is the transportation like, are there hostels - and how much on average do they cost.
Also if you know anything about Pakistan same questions really!
Thank you

I have found on a lot of sites that Greek people seem to prefer writing Greeklish rather than using Greek alphabet letters. Why is this. I am learning Greek using the Greek symbols and find it confusing.
It also makes it more difficult using translators as I have to translate from Greeklish to Greek then Greek to english
It seems easier using greeklish to me as it conceals spelling mistakes.

We are trying to plan a vacation for sometime during the winter break. Since that time of year will be more expensive then we need something affordable but fun. We may possibly be traveling with a 3 year old as well so we would like to have some sort of child care/activity options. We live in Kansas City so flying might be the only option for a real change of scene. We have also considered going on a cruise but that would involve getting passports sometime soon. We have been going back and forth with ideas for months and cannot decide on what sounds best. I though I would see if anyone has suggestions as to what might work best for us. We are looking for something with a lot of activities or sightseeing, a good night life, culture, and (hopefully) some museums or attractions of that sort. We would not rule out camping (somewhere warm obviously) but if we stay in a hotel it should be nice. Beachy locals are a plus, but we would look into anything worthwhile.

The Washington Post says no... Read news below...

[The Washington Post]
Armenians who need help today
Fred Hiatt from the Washington Post suggested that if the Armenian Diaspora had worked as hard for democracy in Armenia as it did for congressional recognition of the genocide Armenians suffered nearly a century ago, modern Armenia would be as democratic as modern Turkey.

There are passionate arguments on both sides of this fight: the urgency of facing history honestly, on one hand; unease over attempting to resolve such matters by political declaration, on the other, he explained. “ But what is sad, when members of Congress are hailing the vote as a victory for human rights, is how poorly human rights fare in Armenia today. The heads of both US organizations told me that their groups have worked, sometimes quietly, to promote human rights and civil society in Armenia. Undoubtedly their influence would be limited, no matter how hard they tried.

Mutafyan against genocide resolution

Patriarch of Turkish Armenians Mesrob Mutafyan II spoke against the resolution on the alleged “Armenian genocide” which is expected to be voted on in the U.S. House of Representatives. “We are concerned that this resolution will affect lives of Armenian citizens in Turkey. We are against it,” he said yesterday. Mutafyan, added that he would write U.S. authorities in an effort to prevent the adoption of the resolution.
