hahaha... i live in la... dont get shot and dont get a std... stay away from pissed of mexicans and pissed off black people, there r some pretty good restaurants here too

Problem is, without a car, it get's tricky.
There is public transportation, but what are you going to do with the luggage? I don't know if LAX has lockers anymore, post 9-11.
If you can rent a car, great. Go to Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier or Venice (during the day).
Have a great dinner, go to Griffith Park Observatory parking lot and enjoy the view.
