I've read that in India, children may tease or insult each other by showing their thumb and saying 'thengaa'. Is that true? If so, is the spelling of 'thengaa' right, and what does it mean? I also read that showing your thumb at someone and calling them 'anghutaachaap' implies that you're calling them illiterate. How true is that? And would that be something done by adults as well as children?

Remember what orlando was like back in the early 90's?? 20,000 leagues, king kong, hanna barbara, hitchcock, wild west stunt show.......What other rides were there that arnt there now? what was where the MIB ride is?

'91 was the first time I went, It was also the BEST. Ive been at least 10 since and still love it to bits.

HOWEVER.....

I seem to remember ALL the parks staying open till midnight every night & getting good value for money.
All the shops were 'proper' souvenier/memorabilia shops

NOW, the parks seem to close as early as 7 and every other shop is a restaurant? anyone else noticed this or is it just me? Most souvenier shops are just clones of each other too?

I have no problem with Universal and Disney wanting to "keep with the time" (i.e creating new rides such as 'the mummy' or 'everest') but I dont think they should close down classics such as BTTF or King Kong?

they should give some rides a lick of paint here & there and maybe update a few things

I've read that the thumbs-up sign, thumb pointing upwards from a closed fist, which over here in the UK means, 'all right mate' or 'good on yer' is rude in Australia, with a meaning of 'screw you'. Is that true? And if so, what sign d'you use to hitchhike down under?

I'm thinking about going to either Kauai, Maui, or Cancun, or Riviera Maya in August, any suggestions, or travel info.?? I am leaning more towards Mexico, since I lived and visited Hawaii a few times, however it is very beautiful. I should also mention this will be my honeymoon, and we are not into a huge club/nightlife scene. There is a resort we have been drawn too kind of called, Secrets, it looks and sounds amazing. Any help and advice will do! Thanks so much!!

Take some time to celebrate life and all that today is meant to be.

Focus on the good and the joy, I celebrate with you all, in spirit.

Let's all just take a day and focus on the sanctity of life.

What is the most joyful thought you had today?

do you plan out every day ahead of time? Do you have reservations for every motel?
Or, do you simply get into your car, and "wing it"?

For years & years, my husband planned out every last detail. How far we would drive each day, have reservations, plan out any museums or tours, etc. And then if the weather was bad, we had to drive X number of miles anyway to reach our destination. Passed places I'd have loved to stop & see as they weren't on our itinerary.

On our last vacation, I insisted there would be NO plans. Just go. Stop when we want. I was happy, he was uncomfortable. He worried every day for fear there might not be a place to stay. ...

One day, it was hard to find a place. He was frantic, telling me "I told you so, I told you! Now what are we supposed to do?" We stopped at a visitor's bureau, and they directed us to the nicest bed & breakfast. It was $100 per night, and I had to pay it as he was so mad at me by then.
It was my favorite vacation, ever.

I want to get a CD of some really happy Hawaiian music. You know where they use those metal bowl things that make really cool sounds and the little wooden guitar that makes that awsome sound. I hope someone could make out what I am talking about. Here is an example.
Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu......this guy made an awsome Hawaiian verson of "somewhere over the rainbow" and "what a wonderful world". Somthing like that. Name as many artists/CD's you can think of.
