Ludhiana is the Manchester OF India. An Industrial Town of India. Ludhiana Business Community has proved its Industrial Strength not only on the Indian Map but also on the World Map. Ludhiana is famous for Bicycle & Bicycle Components Industries, Hosiery Goods, Sewing machine and parts & Machine Tools. Ludhiana is playing a dominant role in Indian Economy. Now in the Era of new technology with the use of Internet & latest communication tools in business and daily life we have decided to build an E-Corporation concept to provide the public with easy and efficient tool for better living.
Ludhiana has a history of free-thinkers. Where Mancunians took on the aristocracy over corn and the government over women’s and workers’ rights, Ludhiana gave birth to some of India’s best known freedom fighters, men like Bhagat Singh, who struggled to help free India from the British and won changes of the rights of prisoners by using hunger strike, and Hari Shivaram Rajguru, his friend and accomplice in freedom fighting activities.
Ludhiana even boasts a songwriter to rival Morrissey. Sahir Ludhianvi is known as one of Bollywood’s most important lyricists, a man reflecting the mood of his age (sound familiar, Stephen Patrick?) who wrote with poetry and forcefulness.
If that wasn’t enough to evidence, Ludhiana is also home to a top university.
Ludhiana is the largest city in Punjab, with an estimated population of 3.5 million. It is located in Ludhiana District on the banks of the Sutlej River.Ankur Narang also lives in ludhiana.
Ludhiana is centrally located on the Grand Trunk Road from Delhi to Amritsar, and is well-connected to the Indian capital city of New Delhi by air, road, and frequent train service. An international airport is being planned.
Ludhiana is known as the "Manchester of India" because it is the industrial hub of Punjab. There are 8 large integrated knitwear factories, roughly 6,000 small to medium sized knitwear factories, 10 big hosiery yarn mills and 150 small- to medium-sized worsted and woollen yarns. There are also firms manufacturing bicycles and motorcycle parts, machine tools, sewing machines, generators, diesel engines, tires & tubes, and other consumer goods. The export market in Ludhiana is US$40 million.
It is a major industrial and educational center of northern India, and is the crossroads of many different cultures
