Hi, I'm a British student studying French, and my partner is Canadian, currently living in B.C. Next year I am hoping to work as a teaching assistant in Quebec, and he would like to come with me, but he speaks little to no French. Of course he can learn enough of the basics to be polite, go shopping, ask directions, etc. before we go, but realistically how likely is he to find work?

p.s. I have no control over where in Quebec I will be posted, but it is unlikely to be Montreal, possibly Quebec City but more likely a smaller town.

Thanks, Natalie

Why does everyone ask questions about this boy band? And bad questions at that such as, "how can I contact .....?" Do you really think he's going to go out his way just to meet you? Or does blah blah have a girlfriend? Do you really think you really have a shot dating him? It sounds like they are Korea's only popular music group. Basically Korea's version of the Backstreet Boys which is basically a manufactured bunch of singers controlled by a record label.

I need some gift ideas for an Egyptian family living in USA (my family). It is so hard buying them gifts from Egypt because they have everything there and I cannot buy them anything 'Egyptian' like ancient Egyptian art or so. I was thinking I should be enough for them, I'm their gift hehe, but it will be my first time visiting them after my marriage so it will look bad if I go "eed wara we edd oddam" lol. Ideas please. Happy Eid to all of you!
