The best people to contact are the staff at the tourist offices who run a free accommodation-finding service at http://www.visitliverpool.com/ . If you don't know the area you can use the local rate phone number and speak to someone who does and can get you accommodation in the area you want, in the quantity and price that you need.
If you are a very big group it might be worth your while telephoning the University of Liverpool because they often let empty student accommodation to visitors and tourists, but it isn't widely advertised.
This sort of accommodation is good for hen nights, etc., as you can all stay together as a large group.

I'd agree with SaintsR. You'd do much better in a "per room" place and all the main brands are here. Also, there's a really good Youth Hostel right opposite the Albert Dock / Kings Dock area. Wherever you stay, you'll need to look lively if there are 18 of you - lots of people will book overnights after office Christmas parties which always start in November, so rooms (especially cheap ones) will be at a premium.

I wouldn't bother with the Adelphi as it's a dump.
Try a 'per room' place like Travel Inn, Travel Lodge, Dolby, Campanile, Formule 1 and Ibis, all of which are either dead bang in the centre or a 10 min walk to the albert docks area.

try the Adelphi, right bang in the middle of town, you know the one, it was on the telly. " just cook will yer" honestly it is really cheap to stay there. hotel has its own open bar for the public. and after hours bar for the residents. i promise you, even if you have to pay a few more pounds, your in luxury for a cheap price . years ago , any one who was someone stayed there

The Aldephi isnt like it used to be many years ago, its not one of the best anymore. What about the raddison, marriot, malmison or cheaper but still nice are the dolby, hol inn express ect there is loads of them. BUT ! you will get thrown out, and end up in the cells if there is any disruption, and you would have to book in twos, be good and be quiet, when retuning to your hotels !
