We are going on a cruise as a family and staying in Orlando one day before and one day after our cruise. We're interested in doing something in Orlando that isn't Disney related. Since we're spending the bulk of our vacation fund on plane tickets and the cruise, we'd like to do something inexpensive or even free. Any suggestions? I figure there must be something non-touristy to do in Orlando for fun. Maybe something the locals would see or do?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

I'm going 15 days to china with my family. How is it really like? They say that it's very dirty, that the food is very bad. Is it dangerous to walk alone in the street. i'm going to Shangai, Xian and Beijin.

I want to find a quiet spot that overlooks a city to take a date to "watch the lights". I used to go to one in Palos Verdes when I was a kid but can't remember how to get to it. Can anyone help with directions?

I absolutely loved London during New Years, but I found their immigration in and out of the country to be funny. I mean, I arrived from a 12 hour flight to wait 2 additional hours in a zig zag line to get my luggage. When I left London, it took an additional 2 hours just to go through the "q" I.E. SCREENING. AS I INNITIALLY STATED, I LOVED LONDON FOR THE HOLIDAY, I WON'T BE GOING BACK ANY TIME SOON. oh, AND LET'S NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT HOW EXPENSIVE IT WAS.... Have any of you had similar experiences in London, or other countries???

I may have been misinformed but I was told various airlines allow you to use their airport club rooms at no charge when you hold a certain credit card. I believe it was one of the American Express cards. Delta, US Airways may be among those which allow guests with the card. Have you ever heard of this?

Where can you easily and conveniently exchange American dollars for Canadian dollars in Montreal? And is this something that is strongly advised or will many places just accept US currency?
