Is this place bigger than Disneyland? Does it take an entire day to sightsee like Disney? I don't want it to be a waste of money....

It may be a personal taste thing. I live in San Diego and my kids could enjoy a day at Sea World when they were young, but it would have always been rated below Disneyland or even the San Diego Zoo.
I always though it was over-rated and over-priced. When relatives come to visit, they go to Sea World and politely say they had a good time, but I notice that they never go back a second time (like they do for Disneyland, the Zoo, Balboa Park, Wild Animal Park, kyaking, etc., etc.).
You can make little kids enjoy a whole day there I guess, but it's nothing like Disneyland where you are overwhelmed with things to do.

My kids like Sea World, but there are other things that I prefer. I also think that Sea World is very expensive for what you get. I'd give it a 7.5 for entertainment, an 8 for education but only a 6 for value (bang for the buck).
If you have to choose what to see in San Diego, I'd pick the Wild Animal Park out in Escondido or even the Zoo in Balboa Park. They are significantly cheaper and a lot better, I think. If you go to the Wild Animal Park, be sure to take the tram when you get there. That way you can pick what to go back to see - and bring good walking shoes. There are a lot of hills!
If you decide to go to Sea World (many people love it, I'm just telling you my preference), do plan on spending a whole day. Make a point to see the great exhibits that are not the highlights - like the stingray tank and the starfishes. There are often trainers and specialists to talk to - take advantage of it. They are mostly really friendly and extremely well-informed. Don't miss the sharks, either.

I'd rate it an 8 mainly because it now costs over $50 just to get in their front gate. Not bigger than Disneyland, but there are tons of sea related exhibits and live shows. Plan to spend close to 6-7 hours if you want to get your money's worth and see the whole 9 yards. Worth it once!

If your from Arizona that's cool so am I, Sea World is well worth your time and money, but that's if you love the sea life, as for me i love the Ocean and all the beauty. yes it will take all day to see the entire sight there is so much to see, the dolphin exhibit is the best part and watch out for them seagulls they are dangerous when you stop to eat...Have fun and enjoy the beauty of the Sea life..... i"ll rate the park with a #1 .......

Hi, depending if you have kids or not. It is a great place to go either way!! Went there at least 5 times and had fun everytime. Prepare to get wet! I would rate it an 8.

If you go see all the shows it can def. take all day. We loved it! I would say it is a 9.

id says its an...8...its cool, but can be kinda boring if you arent a sea life fanatic...if you are GO THERE!!
