I absolutely loved London during New Years, but I found their immigration in and out of the country to be funny. I mean, I arrived from a 12 hour flight to wait 2 additional hours in a zig zag line to get my luggage. When I left London, it took an additional 2 hours just to go through the "q" I.E. SCREENING. AS I INNITIALLY STATED, I LOVED LONDON FOR THE HOLIDAY, I WON'T BE GOING BACK ANY TIME SOON. oh, AND LET'S NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT HOW EXPENSIVE IT WAS.... Have any of you had similar experiences in London, or other countries???

London airports have had severe weather problems, leaving 20,000 peices of baggage seperate from their owners. And, according to MI5 page (like CIA/FBI but British) the current threat level in the UK posed by terrorism is "severe" (link below).
BA never do well during big public holiday periods. Every summer, something goes wrong and they have to ground flights.

yeah, being an EEC citizen and a US passport holder makes life SOOOOOO much easier! i can use the short line both in and out the country. london is just expensive cos the us economy sucks and the pound is so strong at the moment. go to continental europe the prices are more equal to here. the food is better too.
