i am going to visit family with my mother in the summer in pampanga.i am half filipino however i look fairly caucasion so i will stand out. i am teenager now and i have been there 4 times however not since before 9/11. i am starting to get nervous about my trip. should i not go? do you think i will be alrite if im with family? what safety precations should i take? =\

My parents are in the military and i was born in oakland, afew days later i moved to northern california, when i was 2 i moved to ventura county, and then when i was 6 i moved to japan, when i was 10 i moved to san diego, when i was 13 i moved back to japan, and just last year i moved back to san diego, do i even have a hometown ? and if so which one would it be.

Looking for first hand information on this:

It has just been suggested by a friend that we get away for a couple of months this year and go fruit picking / backpacking.

I know you can do this all year round in OZ and NZ, and that Canada has a long fruit picking season (ending around August); also France, Spain and Italy do this too.

But has anybody actually done this; does it pay; whats the work like?

The way i hear it is you get free accommodation, food, use of the facilities and either a daily rate or paid by the Kg. In return you work shifts in the fields / orchards picking fruit.

If you want to move on you can have the owner call ahead to other locations, and pre arrange work.

Some of the online guides are saying earning rates of £30-£60 per day; can this be right.

Looking for anybody thats actually dont this - Not second hand info.

I will arrive in Vienna for 3 nights in February. After surfing through the internet, I found out much information about Vienna and I believe 2 days would be enough to visit the sights, so was wondering if there are any daytrips available to Prague/Bratislava? I am on a limited budget so something more than 50 euro simply would not do it for me.

I drove from San Diego to Napa Valley to S. Lake Tahoe and back. And driving on the 5 freeway I notices a bunch of motor coaches pulling Honda CRV's. I wanted to get the new one this summer. but now I see a sterotype associated with the CRV, older men, familys, motorhomes etc. Am I crazy? Do you notice it too? do you have a CRV?
