Airfares are based on availability. The earlier you book, the cheapest rate you'll get. Check the different airlines on there fares.
It all depends where you flying from, tthere are the lowcost airlines, but then there a lot of retrictions on your ticket.

You can use http://www.kayak.com to search for airfares. It checks multiple airlines and travel sites for you and will tell you who has the lowest fare. March is a good time to go to avoid the crowds of tourists they it experiences in Summer.

all depends on where you flying in from , you can fly with Ryanair or easyjet, those are very cheap airlines go to their sites and see else you really would have to look it up online cause i have no idea where you are flying in from and that will make a difference ofcourse.but march isn't really too much of an expensive month to fly to holland.
