If you ever travel to Los Angeles, don't stay here unless you live in the slums and you want your hotel accomodations to be more like home. Have you ever seen a photo of a hotel or inn and saw a beautiful place that was like paradise? I did. When I got there, it was terd hole and more like hell on earth. Have you ever been suckered like I was suckered? What was the hotel?

Is it really all about lush grassy fields and big wooden windmills, and beautiful blond women wearing clogs? I have no idea, so please fill me in on the truth. It is part of the Netherlands, right?

I'm trying to pick my seats online for my flight (By the way, is it just me or does it seem like no matter how early you get your ticket, 3/4 of the plane is already reserved? Anyway...) It has the rows numbered but it doesn't have the seats lettered and I want an aisle. So does the window start as "A", middle "B", then aisle "C"... or is the other way around? Thanks!

I'm going from the west coast to the east cost and I have only 1 stop, to get to my destination. My question is, I'm flying NWA for 1/2 of the flight, then on AA 1/2 of the flight... so at my layover, will I have to get my baggage and recheck it, since it's a different airline? Or will they just transfer it for me? I'm asking because I have a very short layover and I'm afraid that if I have to get my luggage and recheck (especially at LAX) then I won't have any time to catch my flight. Thanks, in advance :o)

Ocean Blue does their marketing through TRVL, Inc. The company claims to save frequent vacationers a lot of money by taking out the 'middle man' when making travel arrangements and making you your own travel agent (for an up-front price). Does anyone have experience with them? Your answer is very much appreciated... :)

I know it's a bold move, but I'm single and want to try something different. Has anyone made a similar transition that can offer advice? I plan to live there only for about 2 years. I speak the language (somewhat), and I know that I'd have to get a job, an apartment, etc. Any advice?

We just got a passport for our 1 year old. It explicity states that he/she must sign the passport before it is valid and can be accepted by a customs official. I mean - come on - how can a one year old sign a passport? Suggestions?

My brother got a round trip ticket to Mexico. He was supposed to come back at the end of August. He keeps on having to show the embassy 5000 pesos($500US) for an extension. He is now out of money and I can't get any more money to him. What should he do? Is there anything he can do to get back to NY?
