Thanks guy! I also just figured that out. For anyone else who needs to know, they're carried at Brookstone stores

Any locks that state they are TSA approved. You can even get them at Wal-Mart. The locks at Brookstone, heck...every thing at Brookstone, are over priced. You can get locks at any luggage store at your local mall as well. But if have have a Wal-Mart or Target close by, check them first. Just look for the phrase "TSA APPROVED"

We got ours at Brookstone. They also have an online store. The lock has a master key that the airports can open. And, it comes with your own set of keys. I would highly recommend this when travelling overseas - we used when travelled to India. And, it kept our bags from being rummaged through ... as they like to snatch things from westerners there (New Delhi Int'l Airport).

Yes, I buy them all the time - where? Longs, AAA, Macy's, or any place that sells luggage - they run between $6 - $7 depending on where you purchase them - they are great! You set the 4 number combination and lock it - if you check the bottom you will see a place for a key to open it - all airline personnel have a key in case they need to check your luggage. They are safe and work very well - I travel extensively within the USA and out of the country. For sure your luggage won't accidentally open! :)

Look on the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) website. They specify types of locks you can use.

Safe Skies Luggage Locks and Travel Sentry both make locks approved by the TSA.

I got these from the magellans travel catalog

Most airport security workers have master keys that fit this lock so they won't have to cut it.

You can get them for about $7.00 at most of the stores in the airport.
