This is a bit similar to Joy B's answer so I aplogise if it overlaps too much.
I always say there are 2 reasons why there are so many Aussies here in London.
1. We can make good money because for every £1 make we get $2.50.
2. We use London as a base for travelling around Europe and even the rest of the Northern Hemisphere. It is so far for us to get anywhere from Australia we are better off basing ourselves in London and exploring the region, using the valuable British Pound to fund our travels, which goes a lot further than the Aussie Dollar.

Because Australian's like to travel. The exchange rate at the moment means they can earn three times as much in the UK as in Oz so if they have a well paid job and can save money they are laughing when they come home. Most of us spend our money on enjoying the UK and the rest of Europe. Don't be too down on us as we have areas here that are mainly occupied by POMs. I actually married one. Now I know everything I never wanted to know about football. LOL

Ha! Well all those Aussies (or most of them) come back home. Unlike here in Perth where half the friggin population are geezers from the old dart who cant get enough of the place and live here permanently. Must be something to do with the awesome weather and quality of life, mate.

Well most of them are visiting the land of thier forebears Once there they are attracted to the homeliness of earls court. They'll move on,they're like homing pigeons. Also they like to find out why so many brits migrated to australia.Must be more than just the weather.Look on the bright side, they enrichen your culture. Also when they move on,whose going to replace them?.
