Someone emailed me saying that they can run 2 miles in eight minutes. Not even the fastest person recorded can run that fast.

I run everyday for 25 min. Is it ok to stop running one day out of the week? How will it affect my running overall?

I run outdoors, but i'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to make a 'routine route'

Yes Because:
That way my fiance will know where i go

No because:
Other people will know where i go if they see me at the same time and same point everyday. I think that scares me because some psycho could make some kinda plan and know exactly where i will be everyday

I dont have a running partner, we are new to the area. Plus i like running alone. Thoughts?

when i run i feel like i sweat so much. this didnt happen to me last year and now it just started when our xc team started meeting for practices. when i went on a run with only 2 other people i dont think i sweated as much as when i went with the team, so maybe it will go away or something. its embarresing to be around the team because my shirt is like drenched in sweat. what can i do to not sweat a lot or something?

From about Sept - May I was running distances a lot. 8 Miles at least 4 times a week, with the occasional 10-12 mile run. I did a half marathon in March, finished in 1:48. I did not exercize in June so I would gain some weight (ran only about 5 miles, 5 different times). Now I am not running as easy as before, struggling with 5 mile jogs. Can I run a half-marathon on Aug 5th that I signed up for/paid for months ago? I don't want to die out there but last time I didn't do any specific training and I was pretty underweight then (gained about 5lbs since).

I have about 1 1/2 months 'till cross country season starts. How far should I run each day to get in shape by then? And how much minutes per mile should I be averaging? Also, for a 15 year old 5ft 9 inch how much should I weigh to be a good cross country runner

I just started up again after being out for quite some time. I used to run 5 mi/day and had problems w/shin splints but now it's the muscle that gets really tight. It's so uncomfortable that I have to stop frequently.
