okay so i run at my high school..... i heard 4 laps is a 1 mile okay so heres the thing.... is it a mile before i start my 4th lap or before i start my 5th lap?

Yeah its four times around. One mile before you start your fifth lap and after you finish your fourth lap. I hope this helped :), have fun running!

Each lap is 1/4 mile
Finish
1 lap= 1/4 mile
Finish
2 laps= 1/2 mile
Finish
3 laps= 3/4 mile
Finish
4 laps= 1 mile

Is there an echo in here? Yes, after 4 laps and before 5 it is a mile...in the inside lane unless you staggered your start and if you were unsure about the number of laps in a mile...I will not confuse with that.

If its a quarter mile track than running it 4 times would make a mile. .25 + .25+ .25 +.25 =1.0 As you complete the fourth lap thats a mile.

Every time you cross the start/finish line is a lap,so 4 complete times around the track, right?

Your high school track is likely 400 meters around in the inner lane. One mile equals 1609 meters so one mile would be a little over four laps.

4 laps. 1,2,3,4 stop. Don't start that 5th lap or you will be over a mile.

It is how many you complete. That means 4 is what you finish before starting 5.

most tracks its 4...before u start ur fifth lap
