1.) Resting heart rate is about 72 beats per minute.
2.) Your target heart rate while working out should be 65% of (220 minus your age). So if you are 24 years old, your THR should be 0.65 X (220-24) = 127 beats per minute. The closer you are to this while working out, the fitter you are.
3.) Your maximum heart rate should be 85% of (220 minus your age). So MHR is 0.85 X (220-24)=166. Stay well within this limit while working out.
