I run outdoors, but i'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to make a 'routine route'

Yes Because:
That way my fiance will know where i go

No because:
Other people will know where i go if they see me at the same time and same point everyday. I think that scares me because some psycho could make some kinda plan and know exactly where i will be everyday

I dont have a running partner, we are new to the area. Plus i like running alone. Thoughts?

Come up with several different routes that match up with the different training requirements; long, hills, fartlek, timed, etc. Put them down on paper or map them out and give each a short name. Then keep your log in a known spot and write down the route and time you are leaving with a "guesstimated" return time. That way he will know where you are and when you should be back.

Carry a cell phone with you to be on the safe side, a whistle, mace or whatever makes you feel safe. I would try to vary the time of day that you run and don't do the same routes on the same days all of the time. Try to use public routes, stay away from areas with a lot of tree and shrubs and don't run too early or too late when other people are not around.

I would advise driving to a location instead of leaving and returning to your home on a run. Too easy for someone to follow and know where you live.

Most of all, just be constantly aware of what is going on around you. It is too easy to get wrapped up in the run and not realize that someone is watching or following you. Take a break now and then to stretch and visually observe your surroundings and the people around you. Heed that feeling that something isn't right and cut your run short if you need to.

i would say yes run the same route, but if you are paranoid, make a calendar for your running routes and write down what route you are taking on that day, this way the only person who knows where you are running is your fiance. Plus a change is good to keep your body guessing. I walk two different routes, sometimes in reverse, and bike the same route. I am always in a well populated area, residential. Never back roads, a woman was hit by a car while riding her bike last year, the person didn't even stop. Not for me. Make a plan, keep your fiance well informed. So that they will be comfortable with your routine.

Both very good reasons.
Come up with several different routes.
Never do the same route on the same day of the week.
And then only you and your fiance will know which route you took that day.
Also you dont want to have the same route every day anyways you will get bored with it.
I know you like to run alone I used to as well, but still look into a running group in your area. It will help keep you motivated, give people to pace off of and help you set some goals, also give you people to go to some races with as well. You dont have to train with them every day.
Good Luck & Be Safe...

possibilities are high your puppy has already had some style of vaccinations executed. you're able to have a minimum of three months of remedies (photos, worming etc) and then the photos are each and every year. i won't be in a position to truly supply you a cost because of the fact it quite relies upon on the place you reside. as quickly as your puppy is began on heartworm preventive shop it year around and purchase a 6 month furnish as that value will advance with the dimensions of your puppy (it is going by utilising weight). i don't understand what your climate is yet once you have chilly months then do not problem approximately flea therapy throughout that element. as quickly as the climate starts off to heat up (April-might right here) then initiate your flea therapy (we use Frontline). Have a crate/kennel that your puppy might nicely be at night or once you're long previous for the time of the day. Get Nylabone chews on your puppy (they are spendy yet final a protracted time). Many different issues be counted on the breed you're getting (whether it is blended). we've 2 that are blended and one that's an entire bred. Beagle/Jack Russel Terrier (tri-colored like a beagle the dimensions of the JRT), German Shepherd/Chow (black & tan has black/blue on his tongue and is the dimensions of a woman GS) and an entire bred German Shepherd. the sturdy concern for you is the age of your puppy and not having any style of themes that our 2 blend bred canines have even now. We accompanied the two, the Beagle blend became right into a year or so previous and the GS blend became into in basic terms 5 months previous. The Beagle would be 5 this year and the GS blend would be 4 and that they nevertheless have previous themes (their themes are not undesirable/recommend in the direction of people). Our finished bred that we've been given on the age of your puppy has no themes in any respect. sturdy success along with your new puppy and if i'm able to help greater enable me understand.

Make a routine to were when you run alone so people will know how to get to you if you get hurt or someone does try to go after you.. you will be less likely grabbed on an empty sidewalk with houses nearby than if you were running alone in the woods with no way of yelling for help... it sounds like a pain in the tush to feel like your being babysat but better to be cautious than foolish and you are still running alone
PS... get to know your neighbors in the area

You don't have to run the same route every time you go. That gets very boring.

If you go to this link you can find different routes that other runners in your area have posted.

This link takes you to a satelite map that you can use to map and save your route and get information about the distance of the route and the elevation profile.

Safety experts say that you should vary a running route. Just let your fiance know which route you are taking for the day.

I don't like routine due to it getting boring. The psychoi factor is big if you are female, which I'm not. Ever think about running w/ your cell phone so you could call if you got into trouble?
