At my local gun club they have a station where you can clean your gun (shotgun usually) and the stuff they give you to out down the barrel (on a wire brush) and on the cleaning patch is WD-40. But then my Dad told me WD-40 is bad for a barrel when I asked him if I should clean my shotgun there after my NRA shotgun class. So if its bad for a barrel why would my local gun club have it there? And what does WD-40 do to a barrel?

My gun is the .38 "chiefs special" (small frame 5 shot 2" bbl.) I bought the bullets by mistake and was wondering if they might be too much for that gun.

I'm looking for someone in Oregon who is into arrowhead hunting, preferably someone with a 4-wheel rig. I'd share all expenses.

Don't get me wrong I have no sympathy for a lot of those assholes who have a sick pleasure hunting down a fox to a violent and bloody end but of course we know despite all propaganda that serve as nothing more than an irritating distraction, namely the idea that its nothing more than urban predudice, that the real and only issue that serves as any great good is to minimize the inhumane sufferring to animals. Is hunting by dogs really the only humane way of culling foxes? Personally It has been a suprise to find myself from being 100% anti-fox hunting to being either unsure with many questions to perhaps being pro fox hunting with the exact same philisophical greater good. The fox is a preditor and in its life time it hunts and kills perhaps in the same violent and inhumane way thousands of small mamals. If you kill one fox or one preditor in the most humane way possible and I mean all preditors lions, tigers and foxes how can that not be the right thing considering the mass suffering?

I cant decide which I want. I want to shoot with accuracy, being somewhat cheap in price is important, and maybe be able to kill a deer if I decide to hunt with it after I am a better shoot. Which one? Or, is there a better one thats somewhat cheap I should buy?

I was thinking about a .270 Remington 700 model or something for $450.00

But today I looked in a big 5 add and they have a 30-6 & scope combo. the scope is 3-9 X 40mm according to this add all for 400 dollars. Its a savage rifle.

Im thinking about hunting deer, maybe bear after I have more experience and some coyote

So should i get the 30-06 or the 270.
(someone told me a 270 wont kill a bear)

Will these completely destroy the coyote lol?

They are about 200 years old, and are in mint condition. I was wondering is anyone has any suggestions as to how I would go about selling them, or finding out their true value. They do not have any markings like serial numbers, or even a makers name. Help! I am stumped. Thanks!

The center-fire rifle most commonly used for marksmanship training and competition in the United States is the AR-15, arbitrarily defined as an "assault weapon" under the former Clinton Gun Ban and currently under some states' laws. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) is trying to bring reinstate this ban.
