9 pointer 20" spread two years ago.
You will love this story. Was my last day hunting and I hunted the morning with no luck. I came back to the house to wait for my brother to finish the farm work. It was after 11am so I started to make some eggs while waiting. Looked out the window and some van stopped. Looked closer and two deer were cutting out of the woods across the field. All I had on was my long johns...grabbed my gun and ran below the barn only to realize that the one buck was just huge. Made the 250 yard off hand shot. It happen so fast I really didn't have time to think about it or let me nerves get to me until after wards.
Made some great bologna let me tell you!!

In New Brunswick, Canada, I was out with my guide at 5:30 AM. We saw signs of deer at an apple tree the day before, so we sat nearby. About 6;32, a huge deer apppeared. I threw up my .300 Winchester Magnum Sako rifle and fired. The buck was already running, so I led him about 3.5' or so. I hit him in the spine, and he fell as if a house had fallen upon him. He weighed over 300 lbs. and was the largest whitetail I have ever seen. My guide Preeston Orser jumped up and asked , "What are you shooting at?" I walked over to the deer that was behind brush. He was astonished to see such a big one. He drove around and showed it to a girl from England.

I shot a huge 10 point in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. I was stand hunting, until the wind kicked up to about 25mph. I still hunted to the Lake Superior shore. Walked the shore for 1/2 mile, and still hunted south. Spotted a doe, and saw her looking back. Big boy. She moved on, and he came right along. He never saw me until I had the gun up and aimed. 19" spread. 44" around the chest. It was my largest, and still is. He was also my last with a gun. I took up bow hunting the next year. I've gotten eight with a bow- 6 racked bucks.

The biggest that I've ever shot was a nubbin buck.....But I can say this 2,,,I haven't ate my tag once in 18 years either.....when you have 5 kids, you shoot the 1st one you see and be happy...My motto is like this ...You want to see my trophy room? As I'm opening my freezer........I guess I still haven't found a way to eat those antlers, but they do make one heck of a skinning knife handle......

10 point that Field dressed at about 200 lbs. Where we hunt just happens to be in the best deer county in Illinois. Usually the highest kill and largest deer.
However, my overall average is much less in weight. I dont trophy hunt, I go for freezer meat and will take what is presented, usually.
