I like to buy a Mosin-Nagant or a Mauser k98, but dont know which one is better. Mosin Nagant is cheap but I heard is also a good rifle. Mauser k98 is also very nice, but it cost a bit more. I would also like to know which gun got more recoil, b/c i dont want any rifle thats more than 30-06 round.

I have two old guns that have been in my family but are collecting dust. I'm looking for a web site where I can get a ball park figure of what they are worth. Thanks.

I was thinking of hunting grouse with those arrows that don't penetrate the bird, just knock it down. Will this bruise the meat? 'Cause I won't be getting any head-shots like with the .22!

The crimp on a bullet with a cannelure can be measured with a caliper but, not on a jacketed bullet, in my experience. The jacket will not yield, perceptibly, when applying the crimp. This is important when the cartridge head spaces on the case mouth. Improper crimp can cause pressure problems but, if you understand the question you already know that.
Thanks,
George
