I'm not big on the shoulder holster style, I was thinking maybe carry it in the small of my back.(And yes, I have a CCW license!) Can anyone point me to a good source or website? Thanks!

I suggest you forget about the small of the back carry. there are some serious disadvantages to it. chief among them the distinct possibility severe spinal injury if you fall and land on your pistol.

I strongly endorse the use of Milt Sparks Summer Special, Bianchi Pistol Pocket, and for the minimalist approach, a Tex Shoemaker Belt Slide holster.

Be sure to get a good quality heavy belt for your holsters to ride upon, it makes a big difference. With a good belt and holster combo, you can pack a Desert Eagle around all day with no problems. If you have a soft, too pliable belt that does not fit the belt loops of your holster, a 20 oz J-Frame revolver can be a chore to pack.

You will also need a cover garment to conceal your M-1911. If you don't have to wear a suit, and tie, you ought to consider a Guyabera Shirt, aka Mexican Wedding Shirts. Buy them a size or two large and the long tail will cover you pistol and holster quite well.

Get an Uncle Mike's inside-the-pant holster. They are soft and use a strong plastic clip. The 1911 is a good concealment gun, but a full size would get uncomfortable if carried a lot.

Uncle Mike's makes some really nice holsters. Have fun walking around day after day with a full sized 1911 in your pants though. I don't see how some people can do that.

I carry a 20 ounce 2 inch .38 Taurus revolver and it drives me nuts.

For IWB carry of a Govt Model, I like the CTAC. Some prefer leather over kydex though, and I hear the Milt Sparks VersaMax 2 is about as good as it gets for a leather holster.
