Pro-gun, as a Republican, John McCain. He's an ardent conservative. As a Democrat, Bill Richardson, because in the debate two weeks ago he said as a governor of NM and a western state he is a gun owner and he enjoys gun rights. Overall, I think all the candidates are tolerant on the issue. The issue that concerns them is selling bullets to some types of assault weapons. If you are a gun collector, why would you want bullets that even cops dont use? Giuliani is a closet liberal and in NYC was a proponent of anti-hand gun legislation. Watch him closely...

Its not the Presidential Candidate that you should be concerned about, but Congress and anti-gun and special interest groups is where the potential problem exists.....

I think there are plenty of other issues that you should also include in your thought process when making such a major decision as casting your ballot for the next person to be president. I am not saying anything negative about your right to own firearms, but maybe you should be more open-minded to issues that have a more overall affect on the people.
I would suggest that you research the candidates, and if you are a registered voter, vote in your states primary for the candidate that most closely follows your beliefs and more importantly, will overall do a good job for the country. Then, when the cadidates are decided, vote again with the same philosophy. There is nothing wrong with voting across party lines. In fact, if people (both citizens and elected leaders) voted more with their heart and their intelligence rather than following party lines or money or whatever, we would probably be better off as a country overall.
I do not think you "gun rights" are in danger with any candidate as long as you are a moral, upstanding citizen.
Peace

I would also say Ron Paul. But this is only a start. Sure its great to have a pro-gun president, but we also need a pro-gun senate and house. It would also help to convert some anti-gunners to our side. I tried this with some of my friends, I got a couple to convert after a trip to the range, but some didn't.

Strictly on the 2nd Amendment, Ron Paul is tops. Snowball's chance of getting the nomination, though.

the most supportive candidate would be any of the republicans but Giuliani , and none of the democrats are behind protecting your gun rights. they have to march to the far left's agenda.
