I'm looking to buy an air rifle but I am unsure of the differences. What are the advantages of these different types of guns?

I want to start skeet shooting, yet I want to be able to blow a fist sized hole in the chest of an intruder. No hunting. I had experience with rifles when I was in my teens, and have a 357 Magnum now.

Does anybody make a revolver chambered in 9mm Luger? I've already got a Hi-Point Carbine, Ruger P89, and a Cobra Derringer all in 9mm. I was just wondering if there were ever any revolvers made in that calibur, you know kinda complete the collection.

I want to get in to this sport as there is a shooting club nearby, and they are willing to let me try out a few guns to 'get a feel' for the right model that suits me best.

A friend, who is a gamekeeper, has offered me one of his guns for £250 should I like the feel of it- it is brand new and he got it as a gift, but really doesn't have space for it so is willing to pass it on to me for a good price; it has only ever fired one box of shells and comes with a lifetime guarentee.

As I am in the UK will this gun be a good for clay shooting- £250 seems good for a brand new gun whereas I could easily spend just as much on a second-hand model!

I have included a link to the gun below as they are still in production.

Thanks!

Who would win a fight to the death?

A 5-9 185 lb man in reasonably good shape or a 115 lb male mountain lion. There is no element of surprise and no weapons. This is actually an important question, so cites are very welcome.

I have a S&W 640 2" (DA only) with a coil main spring. The trigger breaks around 8 plus pounds - probably more like 10-12 lbs. Does anyone know how to go about taking a few pounds of this? Is there an aftermarket spring that can take care of the problem?
Thanks.

My sister has just moved on to a farm with her fiancee in Devon, UK. She has asked me to help out with pest control as they have seeds to be planting as well as chickens, and I have always been keen on target shooting (.22 only).

Bearing this in mind, which gun should I go for- a .22 air rifle, so I don't have to worry about licensing, a .22 rifle, so I'd have to get a firearms license, or a small-bore shotgun (shotgun license).

I imagine my main targets would be crows, foxes and maybe rabbits? Any advice? Thanks!

PS, whilst I was of average merit at target shooting I've never shot outdoors or over 25 yards- keep this in mind with humane kills/ accuracy!

Thanks
