It's a good brush gun for deer hunting and 50 to 75 yds. is about it. On a scale of one to ten it's about a 5

1: A 20 guage has a smaller barrel, but with a choke on a 12 gauge, they are baout equal, therefore equal in a curacy. 2: I wouldn't ever hunt a deer with a 20 gauge 3: A 20 gauge has way less. It is hard to describe the recoil of shotguns, they are different than rifles. 4: For upland game, I would go for 20 gauge. 5: For anything else, you can beat the 12 gauge.

Sure you can hunt deer with your 12 gauge shotgun. As a matter of fact, in some parts of my state (wisconsin) youre only allowed to use shotguns for hunting deer...no rifles. You can easily set up your shotgun as a deer rifle. Some guns make a special "slug" barrel that has iron sights on it or you can attach a scope to it. If you want to hunt deer your best bet would be with rifled slug ammunition. Unlike pellets or shot, this form of ammo has one rifled projectile insted of numerous projectiles. I wouldnt shoot an animal outside of 100 yards...some do but i wouldnt risk injuring an animal. i want an instant kill. Believe me. you put a big hole in a whitetail with a slug from a shotgun...if you connect, most likely that animal is going down. Hope that helps. Keep it safe.

I have told a good friend of mine "You can go out and buy that $5000+ sniper rifle but, if you don't know how to shoot a gun you might as well have spent $500".

I hope you understand.
If you spend the time at the range and take your time you can become a good shot, with that slug barreled shotgun. And I'd say within 100 yards. At the range start out (if outdoors) at 25 yards then move up to the 50 yards targets...spend most of you time here and concentrate on what you are doing, take your time, then move up to those 100 yard targets.

Note: pop off 2 or 3 rounds and check your target, mark those holes or tape them and return to your shooting station, make corrections to your shotgun when needed and then once again pop off a few more rounds.
Always wear ear-plugs & muffs togather because you never know when someone will show up with a big magnum.

I use a T/C Super 14 chambered in a 35 Rem. in our slug zone (sometimes my DW Arms 44 Rem. Mag).

Good luck.

With a good quality 12 gauge witha slug barrel properly sighted in you can expect good accuracy up to 100 yards. Slightly better accuracy if you have a rifled slug barrel and use saboted slugs versus smooth bore with rifled slugs. Either will fine for deer hunting, I have shot both and prefer a smooth bore with rifled slugs as that rifled slugs are much cheaper than saboted slugs.

yes u can hunt deer with it and in a growing number of states you have to, you need to use a slug or buckshot to hunt deer though if you are using a sabot slug u can make shots out to 100+ yards and these shots will be quite powerful

The Accuracy is depended upon the shooter or man behind the shotgun.. The Type of Shotgun has nothing to do with accuracy.. You can hunt Deer with Slugs, Rifled slugs, Buck shot....Range is 100 to 150yds...

every thing depends on what your shootin out of that barrel. you can with out doubt and with knowing how your gun patterns take a turkey at 50 yards with the right ammo (tungsten/iron blend). for deer don't bother with oo buck. use slug.
