It has to be over and under. The shotgun will mainly be used for hunting but sometimes I do like to mess around with clay targets just for fun.

I like the 12G BC Miruku so far!! I didnt like the Pointer that much and cant afford a Beretta Shotgun!

What do you suggest?

It is a .22 caliber rimfire rifle, that was discontinued in 1933. My grandpa gave it to me right before he died, and I'd just like to know the value of it, so I can tell my kids someday. Any help would be great.

I am looking to get an M1 Garand for the history, plinking targets, and because I like guns.

I found this M1 for $750. Is it a good deal or should I hold out for something a little cheaper and / or a little better?
Sellers description below:

"Springfield, early 43 dated receiver, with a
50 date replacement barrel. If I remember right, it guages a 2 on throat, and a 1 on muzzle. It is basically a Service Grade rifle. I bought it at the CMP South Store. I have changed both handguards to walnut."

I am looking for the safest 9mm - this will be a self-defense weapon and I am hoping to get something small/sleek so it is out of the way. I've heard Glocks can have safety issues - I want something that wont easily go off if its dropped / jiggled.

I'm serious, I just would like to know if anybody does.

I've heard of carrying handguns while hunting for "finishing off the kill", but I was curious if anybody ever did hunt with these type of weapons?

I am trying to find a world war 2 rifle for under $300. I would like it to be a bolt action rifle. If you know any could you tell me if i can find it at the Tulsa gun show. I know about the Mosin Nagant, but i am a little scare of the recoil. Also I would like it to be a standard issue rifle. My dad already has a springfield so I would like something different.

I don't know what gun to get!

A M1 Garand with a 1943 reciever and 1950 replacment barrel, 2 throat erosion, 1 muzzle erosion, service grade originally from the CMP store. For $750+shipping.

A Rock Island 1911 (new manufacture) for $300.

A Mosin Nagant 91/30 1943 with matching serial numbers (stamped not electropenciled) and maybe wood, round reciever and the various accsessories for $90 shipped.

Or a Mosin Nagant 91/30 with matching serial numbers (stamped not electropenciled), hex reciever and the various accsessories for $100+shipping.

So which gun? Or combination of guns?

I can't decide!!

After recent occurences and my own convictions the past few years, I have decided to purchase a firearm for protection from those that do not legally or should not legally possess these weapons. Neither my family or I have ever been threatened, but I do know that anything could happen.

I've shot a few handguns over the past years, but do not have a lot of experience. I do plan on taking certification courses.

I would like to be able to carry the weapon concealed and with easy access. It should have safety features.

Also, in addition to the weapon, any input on storage in home would be appreciated. I have a three year old daughter who is quite clever at opening things.

Thank you for your time and efforts in answering this question, your opinions are greatly appreciated!

I really don't understand this because whenever someone says to me how hunting is bad, I simply say back to them "What did you have last night?" or "Did you ever have bacon or steak?" then I go on on how the farmer just goes in the field and shoots the animal in the head and how it doesn't have a chance and how if it weren't for hunting we would all be vegitarians, then I say a bunch of other factual info.

My question is how can people eat meat and still hate hunting and be against hunting? It just doesn't make any sense.

I am looking to pick up a 12 gauge and have been moving towards the Remington Wingmaster. I checked out the Mossberg 500 today though and really liked the way it felt, and its sighting. Any info helping me decide would be greatly appreciated. I am going to be strictly clay shooting, I realize the 500 is only $200 and the 870 will be significantly more (I do not want an Express-felt cheap) I think about $400?

I recently purchased a foreign knife made of high carbon steel and I want to keep it free of rust. Some fingerprinting has already developed on it and I want to clean and sharpen the blade. Where can I find information on how best to do this, and where can I purchase the necessary materials? Would my local Walmart or Lowes have what I need?

I am not a huge fan of guns that have a lot of "kick". But I need a ccw for my job, and i find the Glock 19 loaded with 147 gr hollowtips perfect. However, counless people have told me that a 9mm even with hollowpoints is not an adequate "man stopper" and I should switch to the .40, .357, or .45. Others have told me if you should shoot the gun you are more comfortable with and that shot placement is key and that caliber doesn't mean sh*t. My follow up shots on the .40 are real slow and i am not nearly as accurate with it as i am with the 9 mil. Is it better to shoot the gun you are more accurate with and can fire off real fast follow up shots? Or do I go with the larger gun just to put a bigger hole in a the guy? Is a 9mm enough and does a .40 offer me a "one shot stop"? thanks a lot.
