So it depends where you live and how big your property is.

If you have a large piece of property (at least 10 acres), it is legal for you to discharge a firearm. I would recommend a .22 cuz they are small, cheap, and accurate. Go to Wal-Mart or any local gun store or pawn shop. It really doesn't matter what kind you get, but I would recommend a semi-automatic due to the multiple-shot capability.

If not, get a high-powered air pellet gun. They are much quiter and won't scare the neighbors. The only problem is that it may not be powerful enough to kill the rabbit, especially at longer ranges.

Like said above, its best to get a trap. Its safer and easier for you. Also check your local hunting regulations so you are familliar with with the rules and seasons on taking rabbits.

Well, check the outdoors and hunting stores. I would recomment that you get a shotgun for one-they are cheaper than rifles, 2- they wont go 15,000 miles and still be lethal, maybe 300 yards with a slug if aimed up, and about 100 with shot. Shoot some 6 shot and that will take care of them. One little secret-rabbits mighty tasty. you might also be able to find a high powered pellet gun and that will kill them too. You can also get traps, but then you have to take care of them after that. If you dont want to scare the neighbors with loud guns, get a .22 rifle, but if you dont care or dont have neighbors close, id get a shotgun.

I'd go for a pellet air rifle. It wouldn't deafen you, scare the neighbors or get you arrested. Last choice would be a .22 rifle. That's a hunters tool for small game.

If you are not a good shot and don't like the dangers of guns, I'd get a rabbit trap. Nobody gets hurt and you don't even have to be there when they get caught. And if you have pacifist friends you can hand the rabbit over to them. They will all love you and you'll probably get a hug in the bargain. Pacifists are the best huggers. It's from all that practice with trees :)

Wouldn't a fence be more simple? Rabbits are out very early in the morning, most likely you will be asleep.
I own 5 guns and am an NRA member. I live by this simple rule, if you kill it, you must eat it.

Probably a local gun shop or even pawn shops often have good deals on a gun . Be sure its season for rabbits or you could get into trouble for shooting them out of season . If your a good shot I recommend a 22 rifle if not such a good shot get a shotgun and some number 6 shot

depends on what distance your shooting over.....if its within 30 yards, then any air rifle kicking out 12 ft lbs would do the job.
