"id like to see a shotgun "concealed""

A 20ga or .410 youth gun probably could be concealed in baggy pants with the right stock.

"3. altering a shotgun to make it small enough to conceal (sawed off) may make the weapon itself against the law to own."

If I wanted to make a sawed-off, why would I ask about concealed carry (I mean legal concealed carry)?

I could always take the stock off and put a pistol grip on it, which would change it into an "any other weapon," since a shotgun is (roughly) defined as a smoothbore shoulder fired weapon. I, of course, would have to get a license for my "any other weapon" though.

The Gandhi quote in a question about guns. I love it.

"You do need to keep in mind that you going have do every thing with a gun on ,go to the restroom, go to a store and other fun run of mill things. that why most people carry easy to shoot and live with handguns.
read up on your state laws"

I don't need a gun to go to the store with.

It depends on the state. Here in Ohio, it's a Concealed Handgun License, and as the name implies is only valid for handguns.

Interestingly, Ohio has an affirmative defense to carrying a concealed weapon "if a prudent man would be justified in going armed" or along those lines that was removed for handguns when CCW passed a few years ago, but it is still in place for long guns. Good luck succeeding with it in court, though.

1. all states have differing laws, so you would have to confirm with your state.
2. If you are licensed to carry a concealed weapon, i do not believe their are restrictions as to what the weapon has to be.
3. altering a shotgun to make it small enough to conceal (sawed off) may make the weapon itself against the law to own.
