Gunplumber,
That is an aftermarket modification of the old M-110 Folding Hunter. Buck wouldn't touch it.

Check gun shows, they always knife tables there with great selection, usually with sellers willing to negotiate a little. Or else various NRA fundraisers will offer pretty decent knives with not that big of a contribution I like the so called "tactical knives" with the belt clip and one hand opening, as often I really only have one hand free and need to use it a lot, and it stays put in my pocket, no digging around. They are just plain handy, and generally have a thin profile. Currently I use a little CRKT Urban Shark that I got from NRA-ILA a few years back. You'd never think by the name but it makes a great farm knife! It's good enough steel to hold an edge after heavy use on plastic baler twine, silage plastic, and hoof wraps. It replaces a Colt Detective Special knife that I picked up at a show a few years previous that was "involuntarily retired" (nice way of saying lost!) There are a multitude of decent knives in this price range that are perfect for farm use. The trick is to find one that's handy for you and has decent steel that will hold an edge fairly well. I always try to spend b/w $15 and $30 for my farm knives. Go cheaper and they won't hold an edge and/or break easily, no sense spending over $25-30 for something that's bound to get lost. That may even be too much if you seem to lose more than one a year.

Why not have it fixed by the people who made it in the first place?
