What is the value of this shotgun good shape, Belguim made, full choke, 27 inch barrel and has never jammed in the 300 rounds that I owned it. Winchester model 50 1935.

You're looking at $250 to $350.

It's a good weapon, but it's not rare.

I've seen those hang on the auctions for weeks with no bids at $250 but then end up selling for $350 a couple of weeks later. All depends on how many Winchester fans you find in the room.

Try searching for it on gunbroker.com if you need to see the current prices. Don't look at asking prices, though. Look at sold prices.

That model has an internal magazine enclosed in the forend. You can check to see if there is a plug, basically a plastic or wooden dowel inside the magazine to limit it to two shells, the legal limit for some types of hunting. I sort of doubt it with that short magazine. I think the gun was designed for three shots. A good gunsmith could probably make an extension for your magazine that would run under and extend the full length of the barrel, but a job like that would cost more than the gun is worth especially since they haven't been made since around 1960.

well now i tell ya, them winchester are the best in my book, good heavy duty rifles, for a really good one 200 and up, i'd hold onto it though, cause with that kind of punishment she's well built and they don't make em like they use to...................
