Only 10 pitchers have 100 or more wins over the span of the last seven seasons (2001-2007).

How many can you name?

everyone says its dimaggio's 56 game hitting streak, which is amazing, needing to perform for 2 months straight.....i understand how remarkable that is......however, cy young's 511 wins is untouchable, and cal ripken's 2,632 consecutive games played record r 1a and 1b in my mind. also.....rickey's 130 sb's in a season...ty cobb's .367 career average...ryan's 5,714 K's..........i just want opinions or any unbreakable records im missing

Orlando Cabrera is a gold glover sure but Angels got Chone Figgins to play at SS when they acquire a guy like Miguel Cabrera. They could also go for Miguel Tejada and convert him to 3B ala A R O D style.

John Garland is very underrated. He's an work horse and he will win games for you. Great acquisition. !!

They clearly took it upon themselves to stop being objectionable voters and made a protest vote for Mags. Having a vote is an honor, and if we can't have stand up people taking the voting seriously then they should have their vote taken away. Everyone knows A-Rod was the MVP... even the BOSTON writers voted for him. Funny isn't it?

about Alex NOT getting the unanimous vote for MVP?

I have no qualms with Alex winning it. He clearly had a better years than Mags did, so be happy and re-joice instead of crying.

How can the voters vote for anyone else. He was clearly the best player in the AL this year. Is it just writers hating on the Yankees?

What are your thoughts on the trade made today:
White Sox Jon Garland to the Angels for Orlando Cabrera.
What are your thoughts? I think it is a waste for the Sox because they just resigned Juan Uribe and he is an okay player. What do you think

First things first... I am NOT even close to a Barry Bonds "fan". But, they are unfairly targeting him so hard its not even funny. I am a white guy and I don't even like him, but its so obvious to me and it should be to everyone else. Take a look at it this way. Mark McGuire looked terribly guilty when he faced the court. Even more so than bonds does now. So imagine this... Let's say a white NFL player is "accused" of dog fighting a few years back and noone does anything about it... but now Mike Vick gets in trouble for the same thing. What is the difference bewtween that scenario and whats happening to bonds?

Okay, the Chicago Cubs have to have the longest drought of not winning the World Series, and the Boston Red Sox and the Chicago Whtie Sox with both froughts in the the 80 some years since they last on the World Seires, and both have ended thier droughts, here is a question that has come to my mind. Which baseball team has the 2nd longest drought of not winning the World Series? If anybody knows the answer, or finds it, and if you have a link to a source of the answer, please post it if you know it.

I plan on flying up to Boston for the Yankees vs Red Sox game in July and I'd love to sit up in the Green Monster.

I know these seats are sold at random and you have to enter a drawing.

I was wonder how I could get these seats, if possible for that game on July 26th I believe.

Pete Rose finally admitted to gambling on baseball including placing bets on the Reds to win. The Dowd Report states that he did not bet on the Reds to win all of the time which is just as bad as betting on them to lose as far as I'm concerned. Let's say, hypothetically, the Reds and Cards have a 3 game series coming up. Rose bets on the Reds to win games 2 and 3 but doesn't put any money on game 1. You don't think he will be saving his bullpen a bit for games 2 and 3? You don't think he would give his ailing catcher or 2nd baseman an extra day of rest for games 2 and 3 where his money is? Rose apologists using "he never bet against the Reds" need to get a much better excuse. Agree?

My brothers and I like to practice baseball or catch, but often they get really lazy and dont want to play at all, is there anyway for me to practice by myself? Next spring will be school tryouts and I want to stand-out from everybody else by practicing daily.
