about Alex NOT getting the unanimous vote for MVP?

I have no qualms with Alex winning it. He clearly had a better years than Mags did, so be happy and re-joice instead of crying.

I think that after everything they went through this season and the last 7 years and with the Yankmees being a total money pit of failure. Then them losing their hobbled old skipper and THE ROCKET about to be revealed in the MITCHELL REPORT as the 'ROID monger he had to become after the RED SOX let him go. The bandwagon Yankee fans needed something like a unanimous a-rod MVP election to at least rub something in the faces of the rest of baseball's fans almost as to say: nah nah na nah nah. But alas, just like the last seven years and all but 4 of the last 30 years, Yankee fans were denied such pleasure again. So sad...

Well, I was glad he didn't get the unanimous vote. I have lost so much respect for Alex ever since he opted out of his contract. I strongly pushed for the Bombers NOT to resign him to sort of put it in his face that since he disrespected the Yanks, the Yankees will disrespect him right back. Hopefully A-Rod can earn my respect for him back with a World Series ring!

All I know is that Jake Peavy got every 1st place vote for the N.L. Cy Young award. It's also a matter of pride for one's palyers, we are obligated to stand up for our players and their individual achievement. As Yankees fans, we can't complain because Alex is going to stay in New York.

Magglio Ordonez has had a good year and is one of the premier players in this league.

Because bandwagon Yankees fans are the one that give real yankees fans a bad name.

Somebody said A-Rod Sucks and that he has talent in the same response. This makes you ignorant. Very ignorant. You can not like the guy fine, but saying somethings thats good sucks just because you don't like it, is a really really stupid thing to do.

I don't think they are crying, but rather, showing disgust due to the two Detroit-area sportswriters who were clearly biased toward Magglio Ordonez. It's funny to see that the only two writers who voted for Ordonez are from Detroit. All the the writers from the other cities made the right choice, so why not those two?

Because most Yankee fans think baseball is all about them, no one else. There were alot of good canidates for MVP. Magglio Ordonez had a great season, what it came down to was who got to the playoffs and who didn't. That was the deciding factor this year.

There are no such thing as "bandwagon" Yankee fans first off. 2nd fans all over the country of ALL teams are upset that A-Rod was snubbed by 2 DETROIT writers for the unianimous vote which he obviously won. It's a case of people taking matters into their own hands that don't deserve a right to vote in the 1st place. Hell even BoSox writers knew who to vote for... that's sad.

Detroit is just upset they fell off the "bandwagon" so quickly. Don't take it out on the greatest player alive today.

However, it seems to me, sire, that you are a band wagoneer who is crying that Mr. Ordonez did not win.

It is all your insecurities sire. I understand the shock you have been through. First, the Tigers choke and miss the post season. Second, A Yank takes the MVP.

Please, sire, do not be so insecure.

two writers from the same city vote against him. Somethign tells me it was an anti-Yankee vote. Unobjective writers. They should be stripped of there vote. The was no comparison in the seasons they had and the value to their team. Ordonez was valuable, but not nearly as valuable as Rodriguez was.
