They clearly took it upon themselves to stop being objectionable voters and made a protest vote for Mags. Having a vote is an honor, and if we can't have stand up people taking the voting seriously then they should have their vote taken away. Everyone knows A-Rod was the MVP... even the BOSTON writers voted for him. Funny isn't it?

Planco beat Mark Ellis for the gold glove so tiger fans have nothing to cpomplain about. Mark Ellis is a better secondbaseman ask any scout but since the tiger's score keeper wouldn't give planco a error even though I saw him bounce one off his glove that could have been easily caught so planco has no errors and wins the gold glove.

Honestly dude, don't take this stuff that seriously.

Slightly off topic, but in the same vain. Roger Maris can't get into the Hall of Fame with the breaking of the biggest record that was held for over 35 years. But Kirby Puckett, who had lesser seasons over a similar period of time, gets in right away.

One liked to talk to the media, and the other didn't.

It's just fallible people voting in a popularity contest.

Every vote is a popularity contest anyway. That is why David Wright won a gold glove award. And why Bonds was an All-Star this year. MVP is the same. I could care less about awards. Only wins and losses. The rest just drives people crazy anyway.

Did you see how many votes Mags got? There are not THAT many writers in Detroit, dude. I think you are overreacting. A-Rod won. What the heck else do you want?

Besides, I guarantee you the New York writers would have done the same thing if the shoe were on the other foot.

Because Magglio was more important to the Tigers that A-Rod was to the Yankees, and you couple that with a batting title and RBI and HR totals comparable to A-rod's

They just didn't want him to have a unaminous vote. You see that in hall of fame voting. No unaminous vote.

I guess batting .363 and being the heart and soul of the team isnt being the mvp of the team... along with all his homers and rbi's and playing in games when everyone else was injured...

you have to assume they voted according to what they felt was right even though you might not agree with them.
